October 7: SCOTUS & Circuit Court Updates with Jamesa Drake
Jamesa Drake, an Auburn-based appellate litigator and adjunct professor with nearly 20 years of experience in criminal appellate work, will provide an overview of developments impacting criminal defense with the U.S. Supreme Court and the Circuit Courts of Appeals, as well as a preview of what to look for in the coming term.

October 14--RESCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 4: 2021-2022 Legislative Updates with Walt McKee
Walt McKee, an Augusta-based trial attorney with 30 years of litigation experience, will present on the legislative changes from the 130th Legislature that will impact defense practice and people accused of crimes.
October 21: Maine Supreme Judicial Court Updates with Rory McNamara
Rory McNamara, a Berwick-based appellate litigator who practices before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court more than any other defense attorney in Maine, will present on the criminal defense opinions over the past year that will impact defense practice moving forward.
October 28: Ethical Issues in Contact with Non-Represented Parties, with James Bowie and Julia Sheridan
Jim Bowie is a Portland-based litigator with more than 40 years of experience. His deep experience in defending attorneys accused of malpractice and who are facing bar discipline makes him a great resource for defense attorneys in Maine.
Julia Sheridan worked as an Assistant District Attorney at the Cumberland County District Attorney's Office for 26 years prior to joining the Maine Board of Bar Overseers as Bar Counsel in 2020.

MACDL Members: $100 for series (3 General credits, 1 Ethics credit if watched live)
Non-MACDL Members: $150 for series (3 General credits, 1 Ethics credit if watched live)
The program is only available for purchase as the full series, not as individual presentations. Registrants will receive the recording of the live presentations to watch after each live presentation.
Live participants will have their CLE credits reported directly to the BBO by the Executive Director.
Participants who watch the recordings after the live event must notify the Executive Director of their watching of the recording by December 1, 2022, so that the Executive Director can provide them a certificate of attendance for submission by the participant to the Board of Bar Overseers directly.
